Geecrack; Obsolete designs in Japanese Bass Fishing Scene

Since it was established in 2014, Geecrack has made a solid foothold in the markets. Their main markets are not only Japan but also the US.

As a unique JDM lure brand, their own sales organization in Texas is selling a lot of Geecrack products in the land of bass fishing, The USA.

One of the most famous and impressive lures is Bellows Gill.

The fins covering the entire body is giving fish a natural softness when biting. With these fine constructions, the lure sensitively moves with the movement of water surrounded. The used material is called S.A.F. Matereial (the abbreviation comes from the initials of Salt, Amino acid and Flavor.) At the far ends of the body, there is a tail moving naturally for its thinner construction with ring shaped fins.

While many of their products are for bass fishing, they have a lot of saltwater related lures in the Japanese market. Their saltwater products cover from shore fishing, such as Aji (Spanish mackerel,) rock fish and squids to offshore fishing targeting kingfish and red snapper.

One example is Ebi Suke (Sounds like “John the Shrimp” in Japanese).

It is the squid jig (metal jig for squid) imitating shrimp. While most of the squid jigs are wrapped by cloth, which is said to give the natural feel for squid, this lure is made with ABS plastic. To give the natural touch for the target, the surface of the body has small knobs. With this hard body, it has the soft legs that move as it swims in the water.
