He started bass fishing at the age of 16. Born in Gifu prefecture, which is not far from the Biwa-ko (Lake Biwa, it was natural for him to start visiting the biggest lake in Japan. Eventually, it made him a fishing guide in the lake, and started designing lures.

Along his history with black bass, he grew his dream to catch the biggest bass. And naturally, his taste of lure designs were in the lunker hunting lure.
